Three Leading Schemes join forces to tackle Internal Controls with eControls from eShare

Following the latest eShare Governance Forum, three leading pensions schemes have decided to come together with eShare to further develop software to help schemes comply with new legislation outlined in the ‘Internal Controls Code of Practice’ and the ‘Purple Book.’

Even though most schemes felt they had done enough initially to satisfy the new code of practice, during discussions at the latest eShare Governance Forum there was a consensus that more could be done to improve current internal controls and governance.

Back in October, eShare launched eControls to help schemes to comply with the guidance of the code. Since then, several clients have implemented the module. eControls ensures all scheme activities and risks are managed automatically and any party can log in and see the exact, real time status of the scheme as it relates to them.

As a result of discussions at the forum, three leading schemes have chosen to join forces to tackle internal controls with technology. Next, along with current eShare clients Clarks and Philips are to work together with eShare to develop the eControls module further.

“eControls is something which was first developed two years ago, but we have always known the module had more potential,” said Alister Esam, Managing Director of eShare. “Now with the input of three leading pension schemes, we can really get to the core of the issue and achieve something truly outstanding which will benefit all schemes who have implemented eShare.”

“Our clients know and understand the key pensions issues and at eShare we have the technological intellect to develop the solution.”
