Microsoft and Ratio One Hold Pensions Governance Seminar
Microsoft and Ratio One are holding a seminar to discuss how pension schemes address the core issues that they face with regards to scheme governance.
The seminar held on 25 January will provide a forum for debate between speakers and delegates from all sectors of the industry. Speakers will present the issues they see and the initiatives that they are putting in place.
This event will brief compliance officers, pensions managers and trustees on the industry's views on how schemes are governed by their boards and the types of actions that are being taken to make the pension scheme framework work in the 21st Century.
Speakers will attend from within:
- The Treasury
- OPRA
- The NAPF
- Occupational pensions schemes
- The Pensions Industry
There is much talk about pensions governance but it then seems to form a side issue in most debates, sat behind benefit design, costs and investments," said Goetz Boue of Ratio One. "However Governance really is at the core of all the problems we face today. The pensions industry must tackle these core issues unless we want to see increased Government intervention. This seminar will provide the industry with a forum to do that."
"We are delighted that an organisation like Microsoft is looking at ways it can help tackle real business issues. And what better issue to address in the UK right now than the fundamental cause of the Pensions Crisis." Said Boue
