BAA implements the new eShare 2008 Governance Platform
BAA has chosen eShare 2008 as its governance software platform to raise standards of pension scheme governance.
The eShare 2008 platform, launched by eShare last month will be used by BAA to streamline their current management processes and increase transparency to the Trustee board. The modules BAA have chosen to implement include:
• eMeetings – Technology to simplify the collation, distribution and maintenance of meeting information, saving senior secretariat resource, trustee time and paper
• eKnowledge – A totally searchable knowledge base with fully tailored alerting functionality giving all stakeholders efficient access to information
• eView – A member website which gives a transparent view of certain activities within eShare.
“eShare 2008 is revolutionising the way pensions business is conducted,” said eShare Managing Director Alister Esam. “We are delighted to have another major pension scheme using our software to save money and increase transparency.”
Following ongoing development work eShare launched their complete systems upgrade last month. eShare 2008 provides the normal eShare modules but with added functionality and a multitude of new benefits such as improved performance, navigation and interface.
“We are dedicated to demonstrating good governance processes and ensuring our continued compliance with The Regulators Codes of Practice. eShare helps us achieve these objectives by simplifying our governance processes and managing all our activities, ensuring everything is completed and maintained for future reference,” said BAA Secretary to the Trustees Alastair Knowles, commenting on the appointment of eShare.
“We appreciate that to excel at governance, governance software is a ‘must have’ and eShare are the clear leaders in this area.”
