eShare announces governance seminar agenda
eShare have published the finalised agenda for their upcoming Seminar this autumn which looks at “Pensions Governance in 2012”
The Seminar will bring together people from throughout the industry to look at the challenges which schemes may face over the next 5 years and how the governance landscape will look in 2012.
To ensure an overview of all aspects of potential developments, presenters and attendees are coming from different groups throughout the industry.
“The Seminar has specifically been designed to look beyond today’s issues at what people will expect for 2012,” said Alister Esam, Managing Director of eShare. “We are all undergoing significant change and we handle this best and most durably with one eye on the future.”
John Ashcroft, Head of DC, Governance and Europe, at The Pensions Regulator will open the day by speaking about developments in the key themes which The Regulator will be focussing on in 2012. Discussing what The Regulator wants to see change and why.
Paul Reynolds, Director of Corporate Affairs at the Pension Protection Fund will continue the day by considering what improvements the PPF want to see schemes making going forward and discussing how they intend to encourage these behaviours.
Jacqui Barker, UK Pensions Manager at Royal&SunAlliance will look from a schemes point of view and how they have coped with increased regulation, their approach to governance and the changes they are making to prepare for the future..
Alister Esam, Managing Director at eShare will discuss the role which technology can play within governance and how it can be used to reduce costs and risks to the scheme, better support trustees and make life easier for all.
The day will conclude with Wayne Phelan, Managing Director at Punter Southall delivering the trustee perspective and how the role of the trustee has developed in recent years and how this might continue into the future.
