Hello!

Welcome to the September issue of the eShare Governance Newsletter. These newsletters are designed to provide you with up to date information on what is happening within the industry, and within eShare. Topics this month include:

  • Internal Controls creates climate for change
  • eDecisions - The regulator wants us to monitor/improve decision making - see how?
  • The Pensions Regulator holds Q&A at the eShare Governance Forum

We hope you enjoy this instalment and find it informative. If you want any additional information, please contact us at Info@eShareUK.com

One of the most signifcant codes of practice that will affect the governance of schemes comes into force in the next few months. The code on Internal Controls will make Trustees look differently at almost every aspect of the way their scheme is run.

This should be viewed as great news. It is a remit for the Trustees to step out of the shadows and demand a system whereby they can see all of the issues facing the scheme and can actually observe they are being addressed.

The Pensions Regulator has asked pension scheme Trustees to monitor and improve their decision making.

Wondering how? Our answer is eDecisions, take a look how eDecisions is helping schemes improve their decision making.

This Autumn The Pensions Regulator will be joining the eShare Governance Forum. The Regulator shall be there to take part in the discussions and hold a Q&A session. This is a great opportunity for you to talk to someone who is shaping our industry and get their views on issues which are affecting you.

The next eShare Governance Forum is scheduled for the 10th October and is completely free. Participants are eligible for 2 hours CPD with the PMI. For more information please contact us at Newsletter@eShareUK.com, or follow the link below.

At eShare we welcome any feedback, so why not get in touch? If you have something you want to say or tell others about contact us at Newsletter@eShareUK.com A selection of comments will be published next issue. Thank you for reading and we hope you have enjoyed this issue and found it of some use.

Sincerely,

Alister Esam
