Hello,

Welcome to the February edition of the eShare Governance Newsletter. In each issue we will provide you with governance developments within the pensions industry, within eShare and from the eShare Governance Forum.

In this issue:

  • Regulator adds new module to the "Trustee Toolkit"
  • eMeetings Goes one Step Further
  • The eShare Governance Forum goes Ape

For everyone who visited us at the NAPF Spring Trustee Conference on the 6th February, we would like to announce that the winner of our prize draw and owner of a new 4GB iPod Nano is Goldie Murray

If after reading this newsletter you would like to discuss further how eShare can fulfil your governance requirements, please call 0845 200 7829

The Pensions Regulator has released the next module of their highly acclaimed "Trustee Toolkit". Relevant to both DB and DC schemes, this new module looks at fund management. Specifically:
  • Relationships between trustees and Pensions Managers
  • Selecting and reviewing fund managers
  • Types of fund management
  • Corporate governance
  • Investment mandates
The "Trustee Toolkit" can be of use to anyone in the industry, helping them to gain a greater understanding of the pension scheme and the environment in which it exists.

eMeetings from eShare has always provided a simple way of streamlining the meeting process for all involved.

*Meeting information should be a resource not a burden*

eMeetings creates an information rich environment for all. Benefits include earlier distribution of papers, agenda collaboration and automatic alerting.

Now eMeetings goes one step further. Actions emanating from meetings are automatically managed by eShare.

eShare tells everyone what they need to do and escalates any actions that are not completed. eMeetings then provides a real time view of the action list for each committee.

To arrange a personal demonstration of eMeetings please call us on 0845 200 7829 or e-mail Info@eShareUK.com

The next Governance Forum will take place on the 1st March at London Zoo.

The eShare Governance Forum is a true forum where Pensions Managers can come together for an informal discussion with their peers about governance issues which are currently affecting their scheme. The forum is free to attend and provides a great opportunity to network with other schemes.

Topics currently being considered for the agenda include:
  • New guidance on Internal Controls
  • The Business Plan
  • Whistle blowing policies
  • Governance in context
Spaces are limited, however, if you would like to join us in March, please call 0845 200 7829, or e- mail Alice.Cambata@eShareUK.com

Finally, it has been brought to our attention that an eShare Buddy Rack has been listed on eBay. The eShare rack is a limited edition, hand crafted symbol of good governance which only eShare clients are allowed to own and display. The Buddy Rack was stolen by a masked intruder from our offices in Newbury. We urge you not to bid on the rack which can be viewed here :www.eBay.co.uk .

We hope you have enjoyed reading this newsletter and found it interesting and informative. If you would like further details on anything in this issue, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,

Alice Cambata
