The Folding@Home (F@H) project attempts to create a supercomputer across the world with the aim of tackling diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Huntingdon’s, Parkinson’s and Cancer amongst others.
Using the power of over a million computers across the globe, the programme is learning how to fold proteins and understand the process better, in order that scientists can recreate this folding to develop a cure for these fatal diseases.
eShare has been supporting the programme for the last 6 months and are now in the top 18% of Folding@Home teams.

Until recently, The Pensions Regulator has targeted much of their regulation on scheme trustees. It now seems their next target will be focussed on the members themselves. The Regulator wants to see schemes communicating more with members and increase transparency to information.
To help schemes comply, eShare has developed eView – a window on eShare which allows the scheme to choose which information they want the members to see.
eView allows full control over website content to be handed over to the pensions department. It also maintains a version history to website changes.

| User Group |

On 9th February, eShare held the first client User Group at Westminster Abbey. Although the snow limited numbers, the group was still a great success.
With the User Group we are looking to bring together our clients to discuss their experiences with the system and together, to look to the future and possible developments. You can choose to be as involved in the group as you want, but we will ensure everyone is updated on the progress made within the group.
The next User Group will be held on the 16th May. The venue will be confirmed closer to the time. For more information please call 0845 200 7829, or click on the link below:

In a continuation of our dedication to enhancing the systems speed and performance, minor changes have been made to the software. We would appreciate any feedback if you have noticed any changes or improvements to the performance of your portal. All comments can be sent to Alice.Cambata@eShareUK.com.
In the next month, we shall also be expanding our server farm. This expansion is necessary to allow us to incorporate new upcoming products from eShare. The expansion forms part of our continuous system improvements, allowing eShare to grow as your needs change.
We have recently installed real time web statistics reporting onto our server. This provides us with detailed data for all eShare portals. Eventually, it will enable you to have a dashboard where you can see all the statistics relating to your eShare portal, from within your portal.
If you would like to discuss any of these developments further please e-mail Alice.Cambata@eShareUK.com
